Star Room

Ages: 12 months to 30-36 months.

Teachers: Esther, David, Jennie, Caitlin

Teachers in the Star Room support children as they discover how the world around them operates. Children at this developmental stage are especially interested in sensory-motor exploration so the environment is full of materials with various textures, toys to push and pull, vehicles to ride on, books to manipulate and opportunities to play with water and sand and cornmeal!

The Stars are gaining language so teachers create time to model language with children in intimate settings as well as during group times. The teachers in the Star Room also provide children with lots of space and opportunity to move since this is a major focus.
